BOMBARCI, the residence of the General Manager, Western Railway, was built for the Agent of the Bombay Baroda & Central India Railway; thus, its catchy name. It was built in 1925 at a cost of 120,000. It is located on Cumballa Hill in Mumbai, one of the city's exclusive residential areas. The large airy verandas on both floors was typical of buildings in the city built in the early 20th Century.
