A lőcsei fehér asszony (The White Woman from Lőcse) is a historical novel written by Mór Jókai, one of the greatest authors of the 19th century romanticism. The plot starts in the last months of the Rákóczi Uprising (1703-1711) and continues in the days after the Peace of Szatmár (1711). The novel gives a vivid picture about the lives of the citizens of Lőcse (Levoča) and about the distinctive types of the Hungarian magnates living in Vienna. This first edition was part of Jókai's own library. The image shows the original red clothbound cover of the Jókai series published by the Révai Publishing House. The cover itself is decorated with black gold framing, historicizing cover and spine drawings and gilded lettering. The margins on the edge are blue. An interesting feature of the book is the illustrations made by the writer's foster daughter, Róza Jókai. She studied painting at Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz. Later she became the student of Sándor Liezen-Mayer at the Munich School of Painting.

A lőcsei fehér asszony Jókai Mórnak a 19. századi romantika egyik legnagyobb művészének történelmi regénye. Cselekménye a Rákóczi-szabadságharc (1703–1711) utolsó hónapjaiban, majd a szatmári békekötést (1711) követő időszakban játszódik. A regényben eleven képet kapunk Lőcse város polgárainak életéről és Bécsben élő magyar mágnások legjellegzetesebb típusairól. A regény első kiadása a Jókai könyvtárának része volt. A képen a Révai kiadó Jókai sorozatának eredeti piros vászonkötését látjuk. A borító fekete arany keretezéssel, historizáló fedél- és gerincrajzzal, aranyozott felirattal díszített. A lapszélek metszése kék színű. A könyv érdekessége, hogy azt Jókai Róza, az író nevelt lánya illusztrálta. Jókai Róza Székely Bertalantól és Lotz Károlytól tanult festeni, majd a müncheni festőakadémia tanárának Liezen-Mayer Sándor tanítványa volt.
