Published from 1972 to 1977 in collaboration with Giovanni Mariotti, this book series paid tribute to those books which in the eighteenth century were sold at fairs or by street vendors in the countryside. The idea was to present works by unknown authors, possibly with some traits of eccentricity and recovered after a long period of oblivion. This operation is named “repêchage”.
