The artist Phoebe Anna Traquair worked in many media, and is perhaps best known in Edinburgh for her wall paintings in St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral Song School. She is less well-known for her work as a member of the Guild of Women Binders, who exhibited and sold their work between 1898 and 1904. She invented a technique for tooling intricate patterns into leather, which was unique to members of the Guild.
