Books of the Knowledge of Astronomy, of Alfonso X the Wise

Reproduction of the books elaborated at the instance of the monarch Alfonso X the Wise between years 1276 and 1277. They gather 16 scientific treatises of Arab tradition, most of them dedicated to the description of astronomical instruments. Among others: "The Treatise on the Armillary Sphere", translation of the work of Azarquiel, "Treaty on the celestial sphere or alcora", "Treaty on the universal plate", "Treaty on the flat astrolabe", "Treaty on fixed stars", "Treaty on the spherical or round astrolabe".
