Manuel Gleizer was a prominent editor. He was the one who published the first books of Jorge Luis Borges, Leopoldo Marechal, Macedonio Fernández and Alberto Gerchunoff, among many other future prominent authors. His bookstore was located on 537 Triunvirato Street and quickly became one of the most important centers of Argentine literature.
