This pair of knee length leather boots are part of a full ceremonial dress uniform for an Officer serving in the Royal Horse Artillery.
The fronts are most likely made of a soft calf leather and the leg made from a more durable pig skin to allow for the wear and tear from riding horse back. There are steel spurs fixed to the heels intended for show rather than use. Canvas loops are attached to the inside of the boots allow the wearer to pull them on. There are no zip or button openings.
