This is a pair of leather boots which Imperial Prince Yeong wore with the red dragon ceremonial robe. This type of boots was worn by the king and crown prince of Joseon and the emperor and heir to the throne of the Korean Empire when attending to state or military affairs. The rest of the men in the royal household, including government officials, wore this type of boots with curved collared coats with wide sleeves.
