Born from the Sun

Artist's Statement: "Winter tends to be cold and grey in our Wisconsin part of the world, so I often gravitate towards bright colors during this time. This piece came to me in a very organic way, while I was in the process making it. The sun is extra special to me, and I feel like I thrive when it is present. So, I created this mixed media piece to see “the sun� in my studio each day. I used some metallic paint to add some additional depth to the piece. This mixed media piece was created using both paint and paper." 36�x48� wood panel.
