Jim Henson's Muppets, known for their presence on the educational series "Sesame Street," as well as "The Muppet Show" and numerous other films and appearances, earned their creator a place in television and puppetry history, and gained worldwide recognition for each of their own quirky characters. This recognition has fostered spin-off merchandise based on the Muppets and on the programs and events in which they are featured.
