This drawing is made on the other side of the support of El palco, ca. 1898.
(See what was noted for Sleeping Villagers).
The theme of the theater audience (undoubtedly recurring among the artists of the time) is one that is repeated with some frequency, especially limited to boxes and chicken coops, in the graphic production of the youthful Gargallo, which we assume would begin by observing such scenes. during his collaborations as a chorus girl at the Liceo performances.
Among the various preserved cases, and to demonstrate the author's interest in this subject, we have here two examples - a brief charcoal and a sketched and suggestive pastel - executed on both sides of the same support.
