Round blue and gold Boy Scouts badge with red/white/blue bow. Gold metal pin has blue enamel background. Around edge of pin, in gold: "Boy Scouts of America." In center, raised Boy scout insignia, in gold, consisting of a fleur de lis with eagle inside and words "Be Prepared" underneath. Attached to pin in back is red/white/blue grosgrain ribbon bow. Badge is inside envelope from the "Boy Scouts, Puerta De Tierra, Puerto Rico" and addressed to "Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt / San Juan, P.R." Eleanor Roosevelt visited Puerto Rico in March 1944 and while there was presented the badge, along with the greetings of David Acosta, Scout Executive, for the Boy Scouts of America in Puerto Rico.
