Bracelet with Animal-shaped Endings

The arm-ring is solid cast, and the outer surface carved with animal heads. The eyes, nostrils, and ears of the confronted heads are inlaid with almandine. Spiralling vines run back toward the hinge on both sides. Although the exact archaeological provenience of the object is unknown, we can assume that the arm-ring came from the grave of a woman of high status.
