Bramall Hall is a stately 16th century building complex located in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. The black and white half-timbered house represents the typical style of the county of Cheshire. Bramall Hall was built for the Davenport family, with the main part of the complex being constructed between 1500 and 1600. Originally the buildings surrounded a central courtyard, one side of which was demolished in the 18th century. In the 19th century, the then owner, Charles Neville, who had become wealthy during the Industrial Revolution, had extensive maintenance and restoration work carried out. (Sonja Puras)
