This brass paper weight is in the shape of a bird, its head is tucked back, and its beak is pointing upwards. The bird’s wings are outstretched and folded backwards, and the tail feathers are standing up in a fan shape. It was designed by Mackmurdo, most likely towards the end of the nineteenth century.
