Several groups of objects of body ornamentation in the pre-Hispanic northern Colombia follow an iconographic pattern based on the form of a bird with wings outstretched and a forked tail, sometimes with “auxiliary” birds. These figures have been interpreted as representations of the flight of the shaman.
