Brezon, looking towards Geneve

The full inscription accompanying this expansive panorama is ‘View from the base of Brezon above Bonneville, looking towards Geneva. The Jura in the distance; Salève on the left.’ When looking for a house in 1862, Ruskin went so far as to enter into correspondence with the Commune of Bonneville for the purchase of ‘the whole of the top of the Brezon,’ commanding this and other views.
