Sichuan Museum
Chengdu, China

It’s the Shu brocade machine made by Chengdu loom factory in the years of Jiaqing and Daoguang of Qing dynasty. National first-class cultural relics, with a height of 4 meters and the length of machine is 5 meters, the whole machine is made of thousands of bamboo and wood parts(It was disassembled at the time of collection), there are few metal components. Its structure and system are generally similar to those of Ming loom introduced in "tian gong kai wu". Until now, old brocade artists can still perform boarding operations, which is a great help to understand the long history of sericulture and silk weaving industry in Sichuan.
