Brocade Pichwai Panel

A blue ground, square shaped, layered and pieced pichwai panel with a trellis design, filled with elephant and horse motifs, and rendered in gold and red. Its large borders are made of butta paterns on red ground with flowering plant motifs on maroon ground repeated on all corners. These kind of pichwais were primarily used as backdrops in the winter season.
