M.C. Henley & Son patented a vehicle in 1938. A kind of scooter, their "Henley Rollabout" carried oversize, spoked wheels at each of four corners. The makers believed that the addition of a pivoting mechanixm for each axle helped the vehicle keep stable. An advertising brochure described the vehicle's many attributes.
