The Brolga, formerly known as the native companion, is a bird in the crane family known for its courtship dance. The name Brolga is taken from the Aboriginal language Gamilaraay, in which they are called, burralga.

This picture is taken on Limilngan-Wulna Land. The aboriginal owned and operated Limilngan-Wulna Land is adjacent to the world heritage listed Kakadu National Park. Adelaide River Wetlands is a large area bursting with wildlife and plants, 45 minutes drive from Darwin. The wetlands include great local attractions Fogg Dam, Jumping Crocodile Cruises, Djukbinj National Park, Leaning Tree Lagoon, Mary River National Park and Window on the Wetlands
