Guanghan, China

The nose is symmetrical with the center line, and a pair of enormous round eyes dominate the face. This style is very similar to that of the "taotie" (Ferocious Beast) masks from the Yin Xu archaeological site. Unusual too, is its long narrow mouth and downward hooks which reveal two long rows of teeth. Its eyeballs were originally painted black which was visible during its excavation.
