Chengdu, China

The uniqueness of this bronze Bi having a handle from other bronze Bi is that it has a wider ring surface; a short and fine-made bar is protruding from the ring edge. On the ring surface close to the edge, there are two concentric circles;, there are three same-shaped end to end birds pattern on its surface. With bird neck ahead, open wings and backwards legs, three birds are flying. The protruding short bar may be a rabbet to insert its base; in such installation, decorative patterns on both sides of the Bi ware are visible.
