Cheongju, South Korea

A bowl made of bronze with a pedestal. Of the bronze bowls excavated, two has letters inscribed in dots on their pedestals. The letters say ' Dongryang Bokjin of the Yongdusa Temple made and donated the bowl'. From an adjacent Saneosa Temple site, a bowl with the same shape and the letters was discovered. It is presumed that the bowls had been made at the Yongdusa Temple and distributed to other temples, which demonstrates active exchanges among the temples.
