Athens, Greece

Hammer-axe with a convex cutting edge and a circular hafting hole (the missing haft has been replaced with a modern reconstruction). The central rib increases the durability of the tool. This type of tool is rather rare in the Aegean. A similar axe has been found in an assemblage of carpentry tools in Naxos.
