Bronze implements from the Shidanioku site

These implements were excavated by chance during some farming cultivation in 1974. The archeological survey immediately after revealed that two dotaku and 6 doken had been placed together in one pit. This practice of putting different kinds of bronze implements together like this was also seen at the Kojindani site. It was a valuable discovery in the study of how bronze implements for religious ceremonies were stored in the Izumo region.
