This piece has an egg-shaped body, which has an iron ball inside of the hollow openwork part of it. The bronze pole-top and the other five likewise pieces were probably decorations for a funeral cart. They were placed on the wooden handles.
These mentioned bronze pole-tops were found near the entrance to the Side tomb of Tovsta Mohyla barrow, where a wealthy Scythian woman and her son were buried accompanied in death by their servants.
