To use the Inventa toaster, slices of bread are placed behind the two side doors, where they are toasted on one side by eight horizontal filaments. The doors are then opened and the bread is manually turned over to toast the other side.
The Inventa company was founded in 1908 to produce electric heating equipment for medical purposes. They also made domestic appliances, such as irons and hotplates, heated by electricity. The toaster was made before the name was changed to Inventum in 1915.
