Brown Bear Ravine is one of twelve surviving structures at Dudley Zoo that were designed by Lubetkin and Tecton. They were built between 1935 and 1937. Brown Bear Ravine makes use of a deep ravine on the site, which enabled visitors to view the animals from a semi-circular terrace above. As the enclosure is no longer suitable for keeping bears, it is no longer used for its original purpose.
