Babe-Eze Toy Co. of Greensville Mississippi introduced its Bubbln' Fish in the late 1950s. With bubble solution in the body of the fish, a child could blow into the tail stem of the fish and turn the wheel on the fish to produce a stream of bubbles. In 1959, the company's president, O.D. Kincaid reported to a local newspaper that "we have a number of back orders" for the toy. The toy was a commercial success created by Babe-Eze Toy Co. toy designers. Melvin Shaw, a Disney visual development artist, was one of the individuals listed on the patent.
