The Yamantaka means “Destroyer of Death.” It is the wrathful form of Manjusri, the Buddhist deity of Wisdom, and is also called the Protector of Religion. Thirty-four hands and 16 legs, crushing birds and humans to his left, and eight others crushing animals and humans to his right. He embraces his consort, Dorjrolonmaa.
