Standing erect on the pod of a lotus placed on a pancharatha pedestal (carved with a foliage design in the centre and a kneeling devotee on the right side), the figure of the Buddha displays the varada mudra by the right hand while the left, raised up, holds the end of the drapery. An umbrella is above his head and the carved halo. He is attended by the nimbate figures of Avalokitesvara to his right and Maitreya on his left. Two flying vidyadharas appear at the top of the stele. The Buddhist creed is inscribed on the stele.
