Budhisattva in Two Forms with Musical Instruments of Late Tang Dynasty by Zhang Daqian's Copy of Dunhuang Murals

According to the statistics of the music dance laboratory of Dunhuang academy in recent years, in the Mogao grottoes, there are more than 200 of yueju which shape like a a cave, and has more than 3400 of Yueji. There also have more than 490 bands of different sizes, a total of 44 kinds of musical instruments, more than 4,300 pieces. With so many Yueji images and Musical Instruments, it can be regarded as one of the most well-preserved music museums in the world.
This frame, "Kabuki Bodhisattva In The Late Tang Dynasty", is copied from the top of 15 caves in Yulin, Dunhuang. In the painting, the high chignon of bodhisattva of two kabuki hangs behind, with a crown of jewels and a robe. Wearing red and yellow long skirts, with a clapper and a curved neck Pipa flying through the air. The long belt around the shoulder foils the atmosphere of joy.
