Book with statistics and ethnological research on the Native Nations of the United States. The book was commissioned by Congress during the administration of Milard Fillmore. Adventurer and ethnographer Henry R. Schoolcraft worked on the report for the better part of a decade. The report included illustrations by army officer Seth Eastman, as well as maps of Native nations. The reports were finally published in 1857 during the Buchanan administration.
