Burkina Faso Pavilion

Burkina Faso means “Land of the Honest People”, and this West African country’s pavilion encompasses that sense of warmth and resilience, with vivid displays devoted to its natural and cultural wonders. Take in unique sights, including a recreation of the Ruins of Loropéni’s imposing stone walls, a millennia-old Saharan gold traders’ fortress. Enjoy scenes from Africa’s largest film festival, FESPACO, which has taken place in Burkina Faso’s capital city Ouagadougou for half a-century, and live demonstrations of the rich variety of crafts created by the vast number of ethnic groups that call Burkina Faso home from elaborate masks to antelope carvings, as well as colourful conical hats and intricately designed batik fabric.
