This simple vase has the characteristic red "sang-de-boeuf" or bull's-blood glaze used in many Burmantofts wares. It is marked with the BF monogram and numbered 110. Burmantofts Faience was made by Wilcock & Co. from about 1880. The company merged with four other firms to form the Leeds Fireclay Company in 1889 and stopped making art pottery in 1904.
