The Dong-A University Seokdang Museum’s Busan Trolley was built in 1927 in Cincinnati in the United States and operated in Atlanta. Through the American aid organization ICA (International Cooperation and Administration), it was brought to Busan in 1952 and operated between Oncheonjang – Busan spa town - andGongseol Undongjang – Busan public stadium -. After all trolleys ceased operation in 1968, Dong-A University received one as a donation in 1969 from the Korean Electric Power Corporation. The donated trolley, after a restoration period, was opened to the public starting from July 2011. Out of the three trolleys that still exist in Korea, the Busan Trolley is unique because it was the only one produced in the United States, while the other two were manufactured in Japan, giving it a different look and characteristics. Compared with the Japanese trolleys, there are four benches facing each other right behind the driver’s seats that can hold two-three people as well two sets of ten seats, one facing forward and the other facing backward, separated by a center aisle.
