Yankari National Park (fomerly Yankari Game Reserve) is a large nature reserve located in the south-central part of Bauchi State, in north-eastern Nigeria. It covers an area of about 2,244 square kilometres. The Park is home to several natural warm and cold water springs, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna, including elephants, hippos, buffalos, baboons and crocodiles. There are about 50 mammal species and 350 bird species in the reserve. It is one of the most popular eco-tourist destinations in West Africa.
