Bust of Louis XIV, king of France and Navarre

It only took five months for sculptor Bernini to create the bust of Louis XIV during his stay in Paris in 1665. The Italian artist had the opportunity to meet the King no fewer than five times to complete the sketches of his model. Subsequently, twelve sitting sessions were required to create the bust itself.
