For 'Bylines' James Vincent was inspired by the music of Samuel Barber. The two pairs in 'Bylines' cross the stage in continuous flowing movements, according to the rhythm and intonation of the music.
The ballet has no special theme according to the choreographer; the emotions, tenderness, and sometimes aggression are highly stylized.
