The south elevation. Geoffrey Fardell succeeded Charles Aslin as County Architect upon his retirement in 1959 and continued the County's pioneering post-war school-building programme. This school is an exemplar of the 'crosswall' method of construction adopted under G. Fardell for primary schools.
