This special issue of "Cahiers du Cinéma" is guest-edited by actor Michel Piccoli, and includes an extensive interview with him discussing his career and approach to acting, as well as conversations with other actors and filmmakers. There is an examination of Piccoli's work in several films, including *Le Mépris*, *Dillinger est mort*, *La Grande Bouffe* and others. The magazine also contains a lengthy section of critical reviews, including features on *Mary* by Abel Ferrara, *Pour un seul de mes deux yeux*, and *La Saveur de la pastèque*. In addition, there is an inquiry into the new art-house landscape, a report on the Pusan Film Festival and an exploration of the representation of the city in film. The magazine also profiles the work of Christian Boltanski and Sophie Ristelhueber, and includes a segment on the making of Piccoli’s film *C'est pas tout à fait la vie dont j'avais rêvé* as well as a number of articles analyzing Piccoli’s career. The issue concludes with a selection of letters to the editor, DVD reviews and other regular columns.
