Calligraffiti

Niels Shoe Meulman is an internationally known artist, born, raised and based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He revolutionised the art of writing in 2007 with Calligraffiti, an art form that fuses calligraphy and graffiti. In the 4 containers for WIP, he created a composition which layers 35 years of experience. The first layer is his graffiti tag “Shoe”, the second layer consists of abstract expressionism and the third layer is of calligraffiti. After he used Indian brooms to create the abstract layer (second layer), he wrote his own poem that talks about his intense and dense path of life, for the third layer (calligraffiti).
