The sun's chariot crosses the sky from Sagittarius to Capricorn. Three valets belonging to a hunting party has just captured a boar at the end of a chase that has visibly exhausted them. One is calling on a horn, announcing the kill. The dogs, retained more or less by pikemen, are falling on the animal and killing it. Behind the forest with yellowing foliage, the square towers and dungeon of the château de Vincennes stand out.
