The small prototype liquid-argon photon calorimeter for experiment NA31, photographed during construction. The cell structure is clearly visible. Part of the detector is already equipped with the conductors for charge collection. The light-guides in the centre are coupled to a scintillator plane serving as a fast trigger for data taking.
