Cambridge University Jersey

This jersey was worn by David Nathan Rocyn Jones in the Varsity match of 1923. Always known as Nathan, to distinguish him from his father, he was the son of Sir David Rocyn Jones. Both father and son were surgeons who went on to become Presidents of the Welsh Rugby Union. Nathan was born in Abertillery and educated at the Leys School, Cambridge University and St Mary’s Hospital where he completed his medical studies. He was a full back who played club rugby for Newport, London Welsh and Leicester and won one Cap for Wales.
