Izu-Oshima is a volcanic island approx. 100 km south of Tokyo, 22 km east of the Izu Peninsula, the largest of the Izu group of Islands which are administered by the Tokyo Metropolitan government and are part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu national park. The island is famous for its camellias. This image shows the avenue of old camellia trees which form a tunnel along one of the islan's coastal roads
