Folding chair of popular execution, uses rosewood from the coast and has flexible seat in carved leather, with remarkable ergonomic results for the period. The configuration comes from the “x” chairs, used since antiquity and produced mainly for travel, as they take up little space when folded. Models similar to this were very widespread in Portugal since the 17th century. The piece is part of the MCB Collection, and is available for viewing at the long-term exhibition at the Museu da Casa Brasileira called ‘Remains of the Atlantic Forest & MCB Collection’.
