The University of York's Campus West designed landscape was created between 1963 and 1980. It incorporates a late 17th century and early 18th century formal landscape and an early 19th century fishpond belonging to Heslington Hall. The university landscape was designed by architects Andrew Derbyshire and Maurice Lee of RMJM (Robbert Matthew, Johnson-Marshall & Partners), with Frank Clark, co-founder of the Garden History Society.
