This is the Ticket office of Canada Water Underground station at night. In the daytime the drum floods the Ticket hall and the escalators with natural light. The use of natural light is one of the elements that runs through the whole Jubilee Line Extension project. This drum also plays a part in defining the skyline of this post-industrial area of London, lighting it up at night. The station's main contractor, Tarmac Civil Engineering, won the Jubilee Line Extension's Environmental Award for its efforts in controlling the impact of the work on the local area. The constructors even considered the foxes that were living on the site, trapping them humanely and relocating them nearby.
